1. David N -29, Back Pain

I am 29 years old and experienced back pain that kept me from doing the activities I loved along with every-day activities like sleeping and walking. I would wonder each night before I went to bed about whether or not I'll be able to put on my shoes when I woke up in the morning.  I tried physical therapy, visited a chiropractor, and took pain killers and muscle relaxers.

2. Nancy H -70, Back/Sciatic Pain

Before my referral to InterX Pain Center I tried other forms of pain management that ended in failure. I was diagnosed with arthritis in my lumbar spine that sends pain down my left hip and leg. I tried several steroid injections with inconsistent results. I also tried chiropractic treatments with no lasting benefits. I then relied on prescription and OTC pain medications before I learned about the InterX. I started with treatment 3 times per week and gradually reduced the treatments as the pain reduced. I received a home unit and began treating myself at home.

Low back pain is a costly illness for which electrical stimulation is commonly recommended. According to the National Institute of Health, Americans spend at least $50 billion each year on lower back pain, the most common cause of job-related disability and a leading contributor to missed work. Previous systematic reviews and practice guidelines have reached discordant results on the effectiveness of electrical stimulation for low back pain.
